Rahim is the founding partner of Messrs. Rahim Hadi & Soraya Yong, set up in 2002 with Ms Hanis Soraya Yong which subsequently amalgamated with this firm in April 2009 as a mutually synergistic exercise. He heads the firm’s Financial Recovery and Corporate and Commercial portfolios. Rahim Hadi hails from a family deeply rooted in the Malaysian Public Services. His father prior to his retirement served as the Commissioner of Lands and Mines for the State of Selangor while his mother is a retired teacher.

Rahim Hadi received his early education at the Malay College Kuala Kangsar in Perak and later graduated with honours in 1991 from International Islamic University Malaysia. He chambered at Messrs Paul Chong & Kraal and stayed on as a Legal Assistant at Messrs Paul Chong & Kraal. In 1996, he joined Messrs. Edlin Ghazaly & Raghavji, Advocates and Solicitors as a Partner and the firm was subsequently renamed Messrs Edlin Ghazaly & Rahim in 1997.

Throughout his practice Rahim Hadi’s forte has been in Banking Litigation, in particular complex matters involving Customs and Police cases relating to the Hire Purchase industry. As a trial lawyer, he is also well seasoned in initiating and resisting claims relating to disputes in Construction and Land Law, as well as handling matters involving Trespass to Person and Property and Company Law. Apart from the above, Rahim Hadi had also conducted numerous courses and lectures in training programmes organized by various companies and banks.
